Academic Co-Authorship

We believe in recognizing field contributions. Exceptional research assistants and local contributors have the opportunity to be acknowledged or co-authored in our international journal submissions (Scopus Q1/Q2).

Grounded in the 3T Reality

We don't build algorithms in a vacuum. Our team spends time in the classrooms of Kupang, understanding the true constraints of off-grid learning before writing a single line of code.

Ethics & Data Sovereignty

Every ethnographic interview and AI interaction log we collect is handled with strict adherence to international research ethics (University of Groningen HREC), prioritizing the privacy and dignity of marginalized students.

Field Research

Field Research Assistant

Kupang, NTT Project-Based / Part-Time

Assist our Lead Researchers in the upcoming pilot implementation in Kupang classrooms. You will help distribute the Science Motivation Questionnaire (SMQ-II), conduct classroom observations using structured protocols, and facilitate focus group discussions with local teachers. Familiarity with local Kupang dialects and school environments is highly preferred.

Content & Pedagogy

Indigenous STEM Content Contributor

Remote / NTT Volunteer / Research Fellowship

We are building a Culturally Sustaining Pedagogy (CSP) database. We need local science teachers or physics students to help translate standard physics concepts into local realities — e.g., thermodynamics of traditional farming, acoustic mechanics of the Sasando, kinematics of traditional fishing — to feed our locally-deployed AI models.

Infrastructure & Engineering

Edge-AI Hardware Technician

Kupang, NTT Project-Based

Work directly with our Infrastructure Lead to assemble, configure, and maintain Orange Pi 5 units (Offline AI Learning Kits) for our pilot schools. You will be hands-on with local server deployments, mesh-networking, and system resilience testing in areas with zero internet connectivity.

A casual conversation to align on our research frameworks — e.g., Culturally Sustaining Pedagogy, Toulmin Argumentation Pattern, Self-Determination Theory.

Field Simulation

We will discuss a real-world classroom scenario in Kupang and see how you would approach data collection, ethical considerations, or technical troubleshooting.
