Welcome to AFIRMASI.org. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, educational modules, research datasets, and related platforms (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing AFIRMASI.org, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

By accessing and using our Services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by these Terms, please do not use our Services. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time without prior notice.

2. Use of Educational and Research Materials

AFIRMASI.org provides open-access AI literacy modules, research data, and training materials primarily designed for educators and students in Indonesia's 3T (Tertinggal, Terdepan, Terluar) regions.

  • Non-Commercial Use: You may download, print, and distribute our educational materials solely for non-commercial, educational purposes.
  • Attribution: You must provide appropriate credit to AFIRMASI.org when reproducing or modifying our materials.
  • Research Data: Datasets provided by our AI & Research Lab are subject to specific licensing agreements. You may not de-anonymize, resell, or weaponize any data provided.

3. User Accounts and Security

Certain Services (such as our Educator Portal or Data Access Hub) may require you to create an account.

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.
  • AFIRMASI.org cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with these security obligations.

4. Acceptable Use and Community Guidelines

Our platform aims to foster an inclusive, equitable community. You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law.
  • Harass, abuse, or harm another person or group.
  • Upload, transmit, or distribute any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code designed to interrupt or destroy the functionality of the platform.

Unless otherwise explicitly stated, all content on AFIRMASI.org (including text, graphics, logos, images, software, and underlying code) is the property of AFIRMASI and is protected by international copyright laws. Our open-source modules are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial (CC BY-NC 4.0) license.

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". AFIRMASI makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the operation of the Services or the information, content, or materials included. You expressly agree that your use of the Services is at your sole risk.

7. AI Ethics and Bias Disclaimer

As an AI Impact Institution, we strive to build and teach equitable AI systems. However, Artificial Intelligence is an evolving field, and algorithmic systems can occasionally reflect historical biases or inaccuracies. AFIRMASI.org is not liable for any unintended biases present in external AI tools linked through our learning hubs, nor are we liable for decisions made based on the AI output generated via our pilot modules.

8. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall AFIRMASI, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Services.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
